Your travel insurance covers terrorism in countries where the Australian Government does not have a Level 5 "Do not travel" warning. If you have already paid for your insurance and then the Government issues a Level 5 "Do not travel" advice to that destination, there is cover to cancel your trip.

Can I extend my travel insurance from overseas?
Insure4less trip insurance lets you extend your travel insurance whilst travelling. If you have an ongoing medical claim, you won’t receive further trip insurance payments relating to that particular claim. It’s better to take a longer period of travel insurance first.
Back
Can I buy insure4Less online travel insurance if I'm on a one-way ticket?
Yes. Just tell us the date you want the online travel insurance to end. If you need to come back during your trip for an insured reason and don’t hold a return ticket, you’ll need to pay for that. If you make a trip insurance claim, you may need to prove that you intended to return to Australia.
Back
Am I covered for motorcycling by my medical travel insurance?
Yes. If you have an appropriate licence for the country you are in, then there is cover for medical expenses following a motorcycle accident. Travel insurance doesn't replace normal motor insurance and therefore, for example, there is no cover for third party liability or damage to the bike. Please contact the relevant authorities in the country you are travelling to to ensure that your licence is appropriate.
Back
Am I covered to drive a car by my trip insurance?
Yes, if you have a current and appropriate licence! Personal Liability is not covered. This cover should be offered by the car owner or rental company. Our plans, Excel and Excel Plus also provide overseas car rental excess waiver. This is the reimbursement of overseas car rental insurance excess or the cost of repairing the rental car, whichever is the lower amount, if you rent a car from a rental company and it is involved in a motor car accident whilst you are the driver or it is stolen during the journey. This cover is not available in Australia.
Back
If I lose all my baggage, can I start a travel insurance claim from overseas?
You can, but international trip insurance claims can be difficult. If possible, ask someone at home to deal with the trip insurance claim for you. Baggage loss is traumatic and inconvenient, however fast the travel insurance claim goes.
Back

How come your travel insurance prices seem so much cheaper than travel agents?
A question we get asked a lot because travel agents are very keen on selling their own policies as they make up to 50% commission or more. That means that half of what you pay is going to the travel agent and not the insurer for paying claims. We cut out the middleman and by doing so can reduce our premiums. We also have the benefit of a streamlined web based system that doesn’t involve any human intervention unless you want to ask a question. In addition, we don’t insure anyone over the age of 65. This helps us keep claims lower and so the premium you pay lower.
Back
