How do we get such great prices?
  • We exclude bad risks which end up costing you money. For example, we have a maximum age of 60 years on our travel insurance plans. We don’t want you subsidising the claims of those over 60 and thus paying a higher price for your insurance.
  • We’ve invested heavily in producing a quick and easy to use website where you can get a quote or buy a policy at any time, day or night. This helps reduce our overheads dramatically. We pass this saving on through a combination of a lower base price and an online discount.

  • Your credit card details are safe - insure4less uses industry standard 128 bit SSL to encrypt data transferred between your browser and our server. Looking After the Environment

We don’t pretend to be “holier than thou” when it comes to environmental matters. However, we do believe our approach to business is better for the environment compared to most other insurance companies.
  • All meetings and discussions with any of our interstate and overseas suppliers and underwriters are carried out by video-conference or telephone, thus avoiding the damaging effects of carbon dioxide emissions caused by continual air travel.
  • We don’t print sales brochures in their thousands only for them to go out of date and end up being thrown away. Instead, everything is updated on the website thereby avoiding wastage.
  • We haven’t designed large colourful product disclosure statements that use a ream of paper and a cartridge of ink to print out. For example, our travel product disclosure statement is the smallest in the market with just 9 pages.
  • We don’t automatically post certificates and policy wordings. 99.9% of our customers print their documents locally thus reducing the effect on the environment by not using envelopes or posties' fuel.

General Insurance Code of Practice

 

insure4less complies with the General Insurance Code of Practice, which sets out a commitment by the general insurance industry to aim for the best standards of service possible, and to promote better relations between customers and insurers.

The Code describes standards in areas such as buying insurance, claims handling, responding to catastrophes and disasters, information and education and dispute resolution. Introduced in 1995 with the backing of consumer groups, the federal government, insurers and the Insurance Council of Australia, it is regularly updated.
